Dog Essentials :: Dog Treats
The food that is best for your dog depends on their breed, age, lifestyle and your budget.
An active working Kelpie or Border Collie will need a more substantial food than a mature indoor dog. Also breeds such as Labradors, may need a special diet to stop the waist line disappearing. Larger breeds or older dogs can also benefit from additional supplements to help with bone and tendon growth or arthritis. The type of food you provide also affects what comes out the other end; a cheap food has a lot of fillers which means a lot of pooh and smells. The food can also affect the dogs coat and skin due to allergies and poor nutritional value.
Choosing the right food does make a difference and it is best to get one that suits your dog and your budget. Treats are a major part of your dogs’ life for training or for snacks, there are treats available to suit all tastes and occasions and once your dog has had them he will never let you be without them!
